As per University policy, the primary use of the limited space in the Morningside garages is to provide regular parking for eligible faculty, and after they have been accommodated, senior administrators, and accordingly daily parking is extremely limited during the academic year, particularly on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Schools and administrative departments may request daily parking for visitors to campus participating in classes, meetings, and events and for faculty and administrators in connection to a specific University business purpose. When available and assigned, a $15 daily charge will be billed against the ARC Chartstring provided.Requests should be made no later than noon one business day prior. Earlier requests are greatly appreciated, and also more likely to be approved as requests meeting eligibility criteria are accommodated by time of submission up to available capacity. Same-day emergency requests must be made by calling the Parking Office at 212-854-9455 first; when such requests can be accommodated, they carry a $15.00 additional charge. Should space be available, it will be assigned in either the IAB garage, located on West 118th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Morningside Drive, or the Engineering Terrace Garage, located at Amsterdam Avenue and West 119th Street.
Requests submitted prior to 3 p.m. on business days will be responded to by the end of that day; requests submitted after 3 p.m. or on weekends or holidays will be responded to by noon of the next business day. Cancellations of granted requests must be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 3 p.m. one business day prior; the daily charge will be assessed whether or not the space is utilized unless cancelled prior to this deadline.
