Overview

Off-Campus Housing Assistance (OCHA) assists Columbia students and affiliates in their search for housing in non-Columbia owned buildings located in the metropolitan area.

OCHA maintains a Web site and regular office hours to provide advice, resources and an online database of available housing.

Who Can Use OCHA?

Students, faculty, staff and alumni of the schools of Columbia University at the Morningside Heights, Medical Center, and Lamont-Doherty Campuses can use OCHA. Also included are Barnard and Teachers College, and if cross-registered at Columbia, students of Jewish Theological and Union Theological Seminaries.

When visiting our office you must bring proof of your affiliation by presenting either:

  • current Columbia identification;
  • letter of acceptance/appointment from Columbia;
  • proof of employment with Columbia; or
  • current alumni card.
