Knox Hall to be Honored By the Greater NY Construction User Council
On June 15, 2010, Knox Hall will be honored by the Greater New York User Council (GNYCUC)during its annual Chairman's Reception. Knox Hall is being awarded in the "redevelopment" category. The event will be hosted by Jonathan D. Resnick & Sons Inc. , chairman of the GNYCUC, and held at The Green Roof.
Knox Hall, located on the campus of Union Theological Seminary, is the new home of Columbia University's Departments of Sociology, MEALAC, Middle East Institute, South Asia Institute and the Africa Institute. Construction began in the winter of 2008 and was completed by the fall of 2009. The project includes four (4) geothermal wells as part of an overall sustainable design effort. Knox Hall is registered under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. For more information on Knox Hall click here.
