About the Project

Renovation of five laboratories on the 300 level of the Engineering Terrace building to help advance world-class biomedical engineering at the University.

The renovations will include new lab benches, cabinets, fume hoods, space for air tables, new lighting fixtures, associated electrical and mechanical work, microscope room, behavior training rooms, shield room, modifications to accommodate instruments, tissue culture facilities, and modifications to support a new autoclave room.

Phase I: September 2014 - February 2015

  • Demolition and fit-out of Jacobs Lab, Banta Lab, Chemical Engineering Autoclave Room, Men's Room, Hung Lab (new) and Computer Science 400 Level.

Phase II: March 2015 - May 2015

  • Wang Lab, Biomedical Engineering Core Lab, Hess Lab and Hung Lab (existing).
