ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Columbia is constructing a new Sports Center at Baker Athletics Complex, the primary athletics facility for Columbia outdoor sports programs. State-of-the-art facilities are critical to Columbia University’s ability to attract the best coaches and student-athletes and essential for achieving excellence in athletics. 

The Campbell Sports Center at Baker Athletics Complex would be built on Columbia-owned property and would replace a small maintenance building as well as a paved area adjacent to the soccer field. The sports center will help meet current space requirements and would not bring additional population to Baker. 

DESIGN FEATURES & SUSTAINABLE ELEMENTS:

• Strength and conditioning space
• Offices for varsity sports and football
• An auditorium
• A hospitality suite
• Student-athlete spaces
• State-of-the-art facilities
• The University's goal is to build the Campbell Sports Center at a minimum of LEED Silver.

LOCATION: intersection of Broadway and 218th Street

SQUARE FOOTAGE: 47,700 gross square foot
