Register Your Bike with Public Safety - Wed, July 13

Dear Public Safety Friends,

CU Public Safety will be registering Bikes with the NYPD & CU Public Safety, this Wednesday July 13th from 11AM-2PM on Low Plaza (in front of the Alma Mater).

Registered bicycles will be marked with a unique identification number using an engraver. An NYPD decal is affixed to the bicycle, which is difficult to remove. In the event that it is removed, the word "void" appears on what remains of the decal. In the event that the bicycle is stolen and recovered, it can be traced back to the owner through I.D. number, nationwide.

Also available:

  • Discount Kryptonite Bike Locks and the brand new On Guard "Pitbull & Rottweiler" Locks!
  • The engraving and register of laptops, I-Pads, cell phones, etc. through Operation ID, a great tool for the prevention of stolen items and the recovery of property.

For more information on Bike registration, Operation ID, and discount bike locks, please call 212-854-8513, Crime Prevention.

Hope you can make it!
