Overview

Housing in UAH managed buildings is available for full-time students in housing eligible programs:

  • Graduate or professional schools located on the Morningside Heights campus
  • School of General Studies (GS)
  • First year transfer students enrolled in the School of Engineering's Combined Plan Program
  • American Language Program Students (ALP)-students in the School of Continuing Education- ALP Students must contact alphousing@columbia.edu to request an ALP Housing Application.  (ALP students do not apply online.)

  • Student Housing Essentials guides you through all the basics of student housing application, approval, and assigment procedures.
  • For information on types of accommodation, including furnishing and rental rates, see Types Of Accommodations.
  • Students placed on the Wait List for housing may refer to this section of the site for more information.
  • For new and current residents, refer to the Tenant Information section for information on topics such as maintenance, building operations, setting up utilities, billing, lease/contract terms, and submitting vacancy notices.
